What bridge would you like to build in your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 04, 2008:
all the way across to the current partner of my ex husband... who knows? whats it matter?
for me it is an acceptance and embrace of extended family
it shows my girls that it's ok to be her friend
i get the cold look in my ex husbands eyes with a million ways to say no
all I can gather is that this lack of communication only serves his purposes
what ever they may be
so I lay the ways open to the universe to do as it does best
he never stopped me from connecting to his ex girlfriend who was also the ex best friend of his current girl friend... ya just know its going in a book one day don't you?
maybe bridges are best laid in hindsight?
in any case I am flowing out the love to her
and I forgive her and I forgive myself
and I think bridges are also made from a lot of forgiveness

kudos to you for getting where you're at. And, yes, your daughters shall reap the rewards as will their mom from such taking one's self out of the picture for the better of all. I admire your heart with such! been there, done that, KNOW the experience.
sometime i think it hasn't yet because the timing isn't right
i will trust that what ever unfolds will do so in perfect timing
all I can be is ready and open and willing when the time shows up
part of me thinking it might just time for me to be the action I want to see in this world… if they will not meet me half way, who's to say I have to wait ? I can always be the pushy ex wife that just gets her own way for her daughters sake…

Yes.
The latest challenge in my own experience was to forgive myself in advance for choosing to become the pushy ex wife, and getting what I perceive was needed for my sons. I did, and the part of me who didn't like that has already forgiven myself.
It makes for interesting bridge architecture :) this is one of the bits which some think is gorgeous and others can't stand at all!
